Now it&#8217;s time to use it to &#8216;burn&#8217; a screen!<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The screen is stretched in a frame, and coated with a photo-sensitive emulsion. \u00a0The emulsion blocks the gaps in the screen mesh, but until it is exposed, you can still rinse it right off with warm water. \u00a0Using the Rubylith film positive I just made, a piece of glass to hold it down, and a bright light, I get to the exposing of the frame.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_37\" style=\"width: 655px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/media.makecoolthings.com\/wp\/2012\/12\/silkscreening01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-37\" class=\"size-large wp-image-37\" title=\"silkscreening01\" src=\"http:\/\/media.makecoolthings.com\/wp\/2012\/12\/silkscreening01-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"645\" height=\"429\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media.makecoolthings.com\/wp\/2012\/12\/silkscreening01-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/media.makecoolthings.com\/wp\/2012\/12\/silkscreening01-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/media.makecoolthings.com\/wp\/2012\/12\/silkscreening01.jpg 1800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 645px) 100vw, 645px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-37\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Terribly thrown-together screen exposure rig at work.
